Cares Mentor-Recruitment Circles
NCMM's central office in Atlanta, Georgia, provides organizational direction, leadership, and technical support to communities that are developing local CARES Circles. Our mission is to create a Circle wherever our children are losing ground.
CARES Circles are networks of individuals in each area who work together to recruit caring, committed adult to mentor our vulnerable young. The goal is to connect every at-risk Black youngster with a caring adult through existing youth-service organizations, using the proven-effective one-to-one or group-mentoring models. Every study available shows that mentoring works miracles and can give even our most challenged young people the vision and encouragement they need to heal and build happy, productive, self-sustaining lives.
Our mentor-recruitment circles are the heart of our Movement. To join a CARES Circle in your area, call the National CARES office at 404-584-2744 and get connected. To create a CARES circle in your community, download the Tool Kit here.
